Senior Assistant Professor Ken Aoo delivers a lecture on Okayama University’s efforts to help achieve SDGs at the general meeting of Eco-partnership Okayama

On May 28, Senior Assistant Professor Ken Aoo, Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems delivered a lecture on Okayama University’s efforts to help achieve SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) at the FY 2018 general meeting of Eco-partnership Okayama—an organization dedicated to environmental conservation comprising 77 public and private entities based in Okayama Prefecture—at Purity Makibi.

The title of the lecture delivered by Senior Assistant Professor Aoo, a member of Okayama University’s SDGs Promotion Planning Council was “Okayama University’s Contribution to SDGs: Harmonious Partnership and Okayama University’s Efforts.” In his lecture, he explained the philosophy and history of SDGs, the University’s activities to help achieve SDGs, and “STI for SDGs”—an initiative to achieve SDGs using STI (Science, Technology and Innovation)—citing specific cases in Okayama Prefecture.
