Social background and objectives
Schools in Japan are now required to work for community development together with the community. “Schools that cooperates with the community” and “schools as a core of community development” are desired to move ahead. This program aims to train teachers who are able to induce sustainable positive cycle between schools and community development.
Learning and Practicing
Students of this program from faculty of education will learn deeply about educational issues in the schools and community through determining of "home town" and "teacher license acquisition plan".
Expected effects
It is expected to improve the education in Okayama through producing teachers who can solve educational issues of schools and community and can keep learning. The collaboration of schools, board of education and Okayama university would establish the system of sustainable education and community development.
