Establishment of the Innovation Management Core (IMaC)
To build an innovation ecosystem, Okayama University established the Innovation Management Core (IMaC) on October 1, 2021.
IMaC works on organization-to-organization co-creation activities in project teams consisting of members beyond the boundaries of the organizations in the university, including faculty members, administrative staff and URAs, in the fields of strengthening research capabilities, industry-university collaboration in the humanities, science and technology and medicine, and venture support.
In addition to the above fields, IMaC has the Intellectual Property Strategy Unit, which formulates and manages intellectual property strategies, and the Value Creation Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Unit, which manages the risks that need to be directed and coordinated for value creation. These units support the activities of the above fields to improve the efficiency and acceleration of innovation creation.
