Synthesis of high-performance functional materials based on elucidation of mechanism of functionality

Social background

Due to the rapid increase of energy consumption by global population growth and global warming with exhausted carbon dioxide, continuation of human is anxious about. Development of the renewable energy is urgent, and therefore performance enhancement of the existing functional material and moreover creation of new functional materials become indispensable.

Purpose and summary of the activity

We study for the purpose of synthesis of new functional materials by a collaboration of two research methods (1) elucidation of the mechanism of functionality and (2) Improvement offunctionality and synthesis of new functional materials in interfaces. Specifically, we elucidate the mechanism of the functionality about the materials such as high efficiency thermoelectric materials to make electricity from are now under development. We carry out these studies in collaboration with researchers of Okayama Uniexhaust heat. We also fabricate functional films with high performance. High-power solar batteries using multilayer interfaces versity and the domestic and foreign researchers for the next several years.
functionality and synthesis of new functional materials in interfaces. Specifically, we elucidate the mechanism of the functionality about the materials such as high efficiency thermoelectric materials to make electricity from exhaust heat. We also fabricate functional films with high performance. High-power solar batteries using multilayer interfaces are now under development. We carry out these studies in collaboration with researchers of Okayama University and the domestic and foreign researchers for the next several years.

Prospective result

Through these studies, we contribute to development of the renewable energy. In addition, by performing these studies with the graduate students from the developing country. We contribute to increase of high quality teachers in developing countries.
