Social background

  The research and education under cooperation of medicine and engineering and integration of arts and sciences are desired to solve the social problems of aging population combined with the diminishing number of children and economic deadlock. To answer the purpose Okayama university launched the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems (ISEHS).

Image of human resources to be developed

  Human resources, who understand the problems in the people in the medical sites and in health systems, who simultaneously understand the research and development of technology, the products and humanity, and who support the base of innovation contributing the solution of problems and creating things and ideas available for the society collaborating with others.

Overview of the activity

  In the medical and health field we aim at the development of novel technologies, seek the way of their practical application through social innovation and promote the cooperation between industries and academia as well as international/regional cooperation.

Expected effects

  We will contribute to the creation of sustainable societies increasing the number of people, who understand the diversity of fields and lead the successful open innovations.
