SDGs Education in the Faculty of Agriculture for the Revitalization of Local Agriculture

The provision of high-quality education in "agriculture" that comprehensively considers "food" with the sustainable use of biological resources in mind can be said to be the origin of the SDGs. Comprehensive education on regional revitalization through industry-academia collaboration based on "agricultural science" is an urgent issue for the SDGs that Okayama University aims to achieve. To deepen the regional revitalization with the SDGs in mind. We aim to develop human resources who can take into account the new normal of affluent lifestyles and the regeneration of local communities from the perspective of local communities and glocal agriculture through practical education and research activities. Lectures on "Policies for Rural Revitalization (including public symposium)", "Practical Theory of Regional Agricultural Revitalization", "SDGs-oriented Industry Experience Course by Okayama University & Maniwa City" and "Information Exchange Meeting with Okayama Prefecture" are provided. It is expected to develop human resources who can understand regional revitalization from a glocal agricultural perspective and apply it in the field, thus contributing to the SDGs.
