Development of the groundwater environment monitoring system for preservation of water resources

Background

   The environmental problem that groundwater is related to be introduced to many divergences, and the logic for solutions to the problem to lead to aquatic resource maintenance is not built. Therefore, this activity aim is the development of the groundwater environment monitoring system, applying the multi-modal sensor chip fabricated by Si-LSI technology and the communication system by the wireless network with the autonomy.

Approach

  A system to know a change and the measure's effect of the groundwater condition from the change of long-term measurement data is developed. Specifically, it is enabled what the meaningful change for the parameter to intend for by each problem from big data sent to a server is detected and evaluated automatically.

Advantage

   This original multi-modal sensor is applied to various problems, and is suitable for a long-term measurement because there is less power consumption. And, this network system has the following features: To be self-sustaining, without needing any cables such as power and communication; Even if some of the installed repeaters are damaged, the relay network is autonomously maintained by the remaining repeaters; repeaters can be easily installed, the relay network can be built in a short time, and they can be maintained easily; possible to stably receive data from terminals installed in various places such as urban areas with many buildings etc. and mountainous areas covered with plants and trees. Therefore the evaluation for understanding and the measures of appropriate conditions is enabled to having developed immediately in the area where a groundwater environmental problem clearly exists.
