Activity in translational research strategic promoting programs

Social background

  • Japan is becoming the super-aged society prior to the world.
  • There is a desire for ensuring the sustainability of domestic medical systems, promoting a basic research to develop medical technology and realizing a healthy life expectancy.

  • Under the realization of “Next-Generation Medical Industry aimed to Extension of Healthy Life Expectancy”, we are going to continue to support producing innovative pharmaceuticals and medical devices based on fruit of basic research mainly developed at university in Chugoku region and Shikoku region with cooperation between other translational research support centers.

Expected effects

  • Producing innovative pharmaceuticals and medical device, or creating innovative medical technology which potentially have medical cost containment, we contribute these technologies to extension of healthy life expectancy in Japan as well as all over the   world.
  • We would contribute to activate domestic healthcare market through practical application of medical invention and technology at the clinical field of medical treatment and welfare.

 

What is a translational research strategic promoting programs ?

   In this project, we aim to create innovative pharmaceuticals and medical devices sustainably and provide them effectively and efficiently to the people.
   We utilize the the system witch will lead to realize practical application of the basic research developed from the innovative medical technology creation centers.
   We ensure human resources and equipment at the translational research support centers to support research subject produced at industry-academia collaboration institution.
   We strengthen each researcher’s ability to produce the seeds for innovative technology and develop the system to achieve practical application of innovative seeds to the clinical market.
