Development of educational program for protection of regional historical culture from disasters

Objective

The Research Institute For The Dynamics Of Civilizations, aim to create a new local society supported by the diversity of history and culture.

Overview of the activity

By learning the theory and practice of preservation and utilization of the region's historical heritage, which is likely to be lost in the event of a disaster, we understand the relationship between the community and their consciousness about the place and history. We develop human resources who can contribute to the production of a diverse and resilient community.

Future plan

Promotion of collaboration among universities engaged in “Shiryo-Net" activities through the "Network of Universities and Inter-University Research Institutes for the Conservation of Historical and Cultural Materials" with the NIHU as the core base. Development of educational programs for fostering the leaders of historical and cultural heritage in local communities. Furthermore, we will conduct historical research on “Disasters and Local communities" in collaboration with various stakeholders.
