Civic Engagement in Nishigawa Canal Park of Okayama City

 Through an agreement with Okayama City, Okayama University has been conducting research focusing on the revitalization of the downtown area.
 Students perform fieldwork in order to understand Okayama City’s urban development policies, such as reducing car-transportation and promoting a more walking friendly city.
 Local administration supports citizen engagement and the university’s research in order to make the Nishigawa Area become more livable and attractive to the local community.
